Reclaim: Quit Gambling
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Reclaim: Quit Gambling (the "App") is operated by Lunaire Labs LLC ("Lunaire Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used and protected, and the choices and rights you have. Privacy matters especially for a recovery app, so we have built Reclaim to keep your personal recovery information on your own device and in your own private iCloud, not on our servers. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
The App requires no account and no sign-in. Your recovery content stays on your device and in your private iCloud. We never receive your journal, reasons, notes, quit date, amounts, or self-check answers. The only information that leaves your device is anonymized usage statistics that help us improve the App, and the purchase records needed to run subscriptions. We do not sell your data, we do not use advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Your recovery data (kept private to you). Everything you enter, including your quit date, the amounts you log, your personal reasons, journal entries, check-ins, pledges, and self-check answers, is stored on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, synced through your own private iCloud account. This is sensitive, health-related information, and we treat it that way. It is stored in your personal iCloud space, and we do not receive or store it on our own servers.
Anonymized usage data. Through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, we collect a small amount of anonymized product-interaction data, such as which screens are opened and which onboarding steps are completed. This does not include your journal, reasons, notes, quit date, amounts, or self-check answers, and it is not linked to your identity: your device identifier is cryptographically hashed before any signal is sent. We do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.
Subscription information. If you purchase a subscription or the one-time lifetime option, Apple processes your payment, and we do not receive or store your full payment card details. Through our subscription provider, RevenueCat, we receive your purchase history, subscription status, and an anonymous app-specific identifier so we can unlock and restore the features you paid for.
Device information. Our analytics envelope includes limited technical information such as your device model, operating system version, app version, and general locale, used to operate the App and diagnose problems.
Your recovery data is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. If you are signed in to iCloud, it is also synced through Apple's iCloud service into your own private iCloud database so it is available across your devices and can be restored to a new device. This data lives in your personal iCloud space under your Apple ID; we cannot access it. Because Reclaim has no account system, there is no separate copy of your recovery content on Lunaire Labs servers.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers, each of which receives only the information needed to perform its function:
Reclaim is a self-help and educational app, not a healthcare provider. We are not a "covered entity" under the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), so the information in the App is generally not "protected health information" under that law. We nonetheless treat your recovery information as sensitive: we do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising. The in-app self-check is a non-clinical, educational screening and is not a medical diagnosis. The App does not provide medical advice; please see our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your recovery information for advertising or marketing. We share information only: with the service providers listed above who process it on our behalf; when required by law or valid legal process; to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users, the public, or Lunaire Labs; or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because your recovery data lives on your device and in your private iCloud, you already have direct control over it. You can:
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
If you are a California resident, you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, request that we delete or correct it, and exercise the rights described above. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not knowingly process the personal information of minors for those purposes. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
You can permanently erase everything at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete all my data. This removes your recovery data from your device and from your private iCloud, and it cannot be undone. Deleting the App also removes the data stored on that device. Apple separately retains records relating to your subscription and purchases under its own policies.
Because your recovery content is stored on your device and in your private iCloud rather than on our servers, it is retained until you delete it or remove the App. Anonymized analytics data is retained only in aggregate and is not tied to you.
With your permission, the App schedules local reminders on your device to support your recovery. Their content is generated and delivered on your device and is not sent to us. You can turn notifications on or off at any time within the App or in your device settings.
The App may display third-party helpline information, such as the U.S. National Problem Gambling Helpline (1-800-522-4700). We are not affiliated with these services, and contacting them is governed by their own policies.
Reclaim addresses gambling addiction and is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, please contact us and we will address it.
Lunaire Labs operates in the United States. Our service providers may process limited information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data-protection laws than your own. Your recovery content itself remains in your personal iCloud under your Apple ID. By using the App, you consent to this processing, and where required we rely on appropriate safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above, and we may notify you of significant changes in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
